For the 5th consecutive year, KSAPT is holding its unique version of the Medical Showcase Competition, where practitioners are invited to submit their innovative ideas, share outstanding experiences, and present novel practices implemented in their organizations.

Idea Presentation

To submit an idea, please read all of the instructions below:
Healthcare Practitioners are invited to submit unique ideas, share amazing experiences, and present novel practices implemented in their institutes for the KSAPT 2024 Medical Showcase Competition.

General Conditions

All healthcare providers from any medical background are welcome to participate in the KSAPT 2024 Medical Showcase Competition.
Submission Deadline: Saturday, April 06, 2024.
Notification on Acceptance/Rejection: Sunday, April 16, 2024.
Idea presenters must choose the method of presentation in the registration form, either to physically deliver their showcase on the stage (podium presentation) or to submit a recorded video. If the participants submit a recorded video, the recorded showcase must be submitted by Saturday, Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Presenters can use any material or visual artworks to support their presentation, such as posters, drawings, simulations, design, crafts, photography, video, and short filmmaking.
Each team may have two or more participants (submission with one participant is accepted).
The podium presentation and recorded video should not exceed 7 minutes.
Withdrawal of participation can only be accepted if notified by email within five days of acceptance notification.
Please note that only electronic submissions will be considered.

Language

Ideas abstracts may be submitted in English or Arabic (preferred in English) using the online submission form.
The presentation/ recorded video language can be English or Arabic (preferred in English).

Contents of your idea

A brief paragraph describing your practice at the workplace. In this paragraph, you should list all divisions, committees, and services available in your department, even with limited resources.
In a second paragraph, you may briefly describe a unique experience or a novel practice that was implemented in your institute using the following structure of idea summary:

⦁ Situation: a challenge and situation you found.
Objective: What did you have to achieve?
Action: What did you do?
Results: What was the outcome of your actions? What did you achieve thround met your objectives?
Aftermath: What did you learn from this experience, and have you used this learning since?

The idea text body is limited to 2250 characters, including space (around 325 words). Please do not include the title and the author's information (names and affiliations) in the text body. This information will be required in electronic form.
There are no limitations on the number of ideas an institute can submit.
No identifying features such as authors' names, hospitals, medical schools, clinics, or cities may be listed in the title or abstract text, as a "blind" review process will be used. You will be asked to enter the name(s) of the author(s) and their institution(s) when submitting your online abstract.

Presenting Author and Registration

Please ensure that the leading author's email address is correct, as it will be used to contact participants after the review process.
Presenter and participants should register at the conference.
Idea submitters (potential participants) must consent to the Medical Showcase Competition Submission Policies.
The scientific committee of KSAPT reserves the right to exclude any idea from the scientific program.

Awards:

The top five will be honored after the "Panel Discussion & Decision."
A panel of renowned experts will choose the top three winners.
The public will choose fourth and Fifth places.
Certificates will be distributed to all individual participants and the winning institute.

Evaluation Criteria

Showcases of physical presentations and recorded videos will be evaluated by a panel of renowned professors chosen by the KSAPT 2024 Scientific Committee.

The final evaluation will depend on the following:

o Problem definition
   o Creativity
   o Impact Size and Adaptability Rate
   o Challenges during Implementations
   o Idea Sustainability
